Tonight, we are celebrating our eight new Permanent Deacons for the Diocese of Scranton. On Saturday morning, November 29, 2025, the men were all ordained by Bishop Joseph C. Bambera and join the ranks of clergy who minister to the faithful in parishes and other settings throughout the Diocese. The new deacons official ministry assignements are: Deacon Fernando Alves, to Diaconal Ministry, St. Luke Parish, Stroudsburg Deacon Francisco Castelan, to Diaconal Ministry, St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish
