The beauty of hand-drawn maps! The Library has just acquired a remarkable map of Wollongong by cartographer Alex Pescud. This gorgeous bird’s eye view map is filled with detailed drawings of streets, buildings and parks. It’s no wonder it took 500 hours to complete. When Alex came to drop off this new work to our collection, he had the chance to see an earlier map of Wollongong published in 1887.
