Robert F. Kennedy served as attorney general in his brother John F. Kennedy’s presidential administration and played key roles in helping shape JFK’s policies and vision. RFK was then elected to the U.S. Senate from New York and in March 1968 announced his candidacy for the presidency. Just two months later, on #ThisDayinHistory in 1968, he was shot shortly after delivering a speech to celebrate his California primary win. He died the next day. | HISTORY
