September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Ride along with our Crisis Intervention Response Team, Houston’s co-responder program. A CIT deputy is partnered with a masters-level licensed professional clinician from The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD. The deputy and clinician attend roll-call together and ride together in a patrol car. CIRT is our highest level response to individuals in severe mental health crises. | Harris County Sheriff's Office
