A NEW REEF HAS ARRIVED! 💥 Congratulations to the Martin County artificial reef program, which sank its first big ship today since 2018. The 300-foot Borocho, a one time cargo freighter built in 1978, was scuttled in 180 feet of water 9 miles ENE of St. Lucie Inlet. It’s named the “Boo McCulley Reef” in memory of a Fort Pierce marine contractor who was instrumental in transporting and deploying hundreds of reefs all over Florida.
