Just a quick video to demonstrate long coated, double coated breeds. This is Biscuit the long haired border collie. Here you can see the dryer on his body, the fur and individual hairs are separate and I can see through to the skin - then as I point the dryer over his hind leg you can see the clumps of pelted fur stuck near the skin. Unless this is cleared and groomed out; Biscuit wouldn’t be able to regulate his temperature properly. It would lead to his coat becoming matted, further leading to
