The kiwi lays an egg so massive it takes up most of its body, crushing its organs and making it hard to breathe or even eat. Scientists say the egg can weigh up to 25% of the bird’s entire body weight. Yet somehow, this brave little creature survives and manages to lay one of the largest eggs in the animal kingdom.
