I was 14 years old when I was cast in my first play “Under Pressure” at Philadelphia’s Freedom Theatre. In that small black box theater we ‘practiced’ self discipline, and courage - out loud. John E Allen Jr. told us “we hadn’t earned the right NOT to be good!” Those ‘first’ experiences created heart and resilience for future success and made the way for me to win my first NAACP! I’m grateful Philadelphia is commemorating my career to date. From the stage to the screen, each role has been a chap
