Fatigue is one of the most common side effects of cancer and its treatment. Some studies say as many as 80 to 100% of cancer patients experience extreme fatigue. Wilmot Cancer Institute's Karen Mustian, PhD, helped write a new set of national guidelines for easing fatigue in cancer patients. Among the top recommended treatments: exercise, talk therapy (also known as cognitive behavioral therapy), qi gong, mindfulness, yoga, and more.
